The captain managed to flick on Andrea Pirlo's free-kick which goalkeeper Marco Storari could only push into the net for the only goal of the game. The visitors came close to an equaliser late on, but overall, the Rossoneri were much more convincing and no one more so than Maldini who just last week dropped the biggest hint so far that this could be his last season in the game. The goal was a wonderful release for the players and everyone inside the San Siro but there were plenty of positive things all through the team: Yoann Gourcuff is certainly one for the future while Ricky Kakà ran the opposition into ground and if it had not been for goalkeeper Marco Storari who frustrated the Brazilian on a number of occasions.
